Saskatchewan Distance Learning Centre requires 3 permanent, part-time (6 hours daily) Online Learning Facilitators. The position will be located in Saskatoon and commence on August 26, 2025.
Online Learning Facilitators (OLFs) will be responsible for supporting students obtain a quality online educational experience. As an OLF you will work with students in an online learning environment and will, in most cases, be the primary point of contact for our learners.
Focused on delivering a quality online educational experience, this position requires excellent communication, interpersonal skills, organizational skills, considerable experience in relevant technology, understanding of the challenges of online learning, and the ability to work independently with respect to carrying out the duties assigned in a challenging and fast paced environment.
Primary Responsibilities
Administrative Tasks
* Seeks support when needed (school staff) and advocate for students.
* Follow school-based administrators expectations for creating DLCgo accounts/new applications, requesting courses, approving course request, course selections, drops, etc.
* Keep accurate and timely documentation - student records organized/filed (i.e. files for students, timelines, marked assignments/exams, progress reports, communications, etc.).
* May take attendance for each period.
Supporting Learning
* Work as a collaborative team member that may include Online Teachers, Student Support Teachers, School-Based Administrators, Campus Principals or Support Staff.
* Ensures students have necessary resources (Sask DLC materials, pintables, textbooks, technology, lab supplies, etc.) as per the Resources page in each course; record and return.
* Orientates new students to classroom procedures and expectations, logging in, and how online learning works within their school.
