Description

Haven Family Support is an in-home support program for families who are struggling to overcome barriers to their success.  We seek to support parents through client focused service and advocacy in order to reduce family breakup.  We are currently seeking a full time, permanent Assistant Manager. This position is responsible for the daily management of staff and program delivery of our community program, Diversion. This position includes initial frontline work with families, including assessment of parenting needs and developing parent-led goals. The successful candidate will have 3-5 years experience directly managing staff and direct experience with families who are at-risk. This position requires exceptional conflict resolution, problem solving and communication skills, and a proven ability in data collection and program evaluation. The chosen candidate will be able to demonstrate a comfort level with multi-tasking and managing competing deadlines. We are looking for a candidate with a vision for program improvement and a commitment to anti-oppressive practice.

QUALIFICATIONS:
BISW/BSW; combination of education and experience may be considered.
3-5 years of direct experience managing staff and projects
Knowledge of the TRC calls to action and the related impact on our work
Frontline experience working with families
Knowledge of harm reduction philosophies
Familiarity with legislation, programs and the Social Service Sector
Concrete understanding of program evaluation and data collection
Competency in computer skills/software

RESPONSIBILITIES
Staff management
Waitlist management
Case management and client advocacy
Program management
Assign, monitor and debrief with staff working with diversion families
Monitoring/Supervision of staff to ensure quality programing
Accurate data collection
Maintaining community relationships
