GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY: The SCTCTP Quality Management Coordinator (QMC) provides leadership and expertise to ensure ongoing regulatory compliance with Health Canadas Safety of Human Cells, Tissues and Organs for Transplantation Regulations as well as and Foundation for Accreditation of Cellular Therapy (FACT) & CIBMTR Standards. This role requires ongoing close collaboration with the Cellular Therapy Laboratory (CTL), Apheresis Unit, and Inpatient Unit 6100. The incumbent also provides education to the SCTCTP team and physicians on regulatory/accreditation requirements.
The incumbent is responsible for ongoing development and management of the SCTCTP quality management plan including implementation and oversight of SCTCTP quality activities including data collection, data analysis, audits, and quality indicators trends. The QMC may also provide short-term coverage for the donor search coordinator.
Working within a matrix reporting structure, the SCTCTP Quality Management Coordinator reports to the Provincial Manager of Stem Cell Transplant & Cellular Therapy. Clinical direction and leadership for quality management activities is directed by the SCTCTP Medical Director. The Quality Management Coordinator is expected to maintain current knowledge of regulatory requirements.
