The Role
This role will report to the superintendent, mine, and will be responsible for the planning and execution of operational projects pertaining to the mining department. You will work collaboratively within the department, identify and engage stakeholders that will be impacted by any changes, while adhering to Camecos change management processes. This is a dynamic and evolving role that will be critical to McArthur River achieving its full potential. The list below is not comprehensive but provides insight into the type of work to be undertaken.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
-Operational technology implementation
-Field safety systems improvements
-Crew management optimizations
-Equipment fleet review, selection and justification
-Consumables forecasting and optimization
-Development and implementation of data tracking for mining Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
-Other improvement work to support mine operations
Required:
-Mining, civil or geological engineering degree preferred
-Minimum of five years of experience working in underground mining
-Proficient verbal, written and communication skills are essential
-Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
-Ability to utilize a suite of computer software (including but not limited to Microsoft Office and SAP)
-Excellent understanding of process management
-Work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft
