Description

The Assessor's role is responsible for using a client-centred approach to conduct assessments with individuals, using established disability impact assessment tools. This position is also responsible for recording information obtained during the assessment process in a data management system and/or paper process and analyze/review information for correctness and ensure the consistent and equitable application of the assessment tool.

Duties include:
- Conduct assessments with individuals virtually or in-person in their homes and in public locations - may involve travel throughout the province, including overnight stays
- Record information obtained during the assessment process in a data management system and/or paper process.
- Analyze/review information for correctness and ensure the consistent and equitable application of the assessment tool.
- Provide project reporting and information as requested (verbal, paper, electronic), i.e. statistics, status updates, scheduling information, challenges, etc. - to SAID Senior  Supervisor, Program Manager, Regional Director, and Ministry staff as required throughout the project.
- Ongoing communication with Senior Supervisor and Administrator, as well as other Assessors in carrying out of responsibilities.
- Develop, schedule, and coordinate daily workflow.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Education:
- Degree in Human Services.

Experience:
- Minimum of two years related assessment work experience.

Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- In depth understanding of disability issues including conducting assessments (disability, impact, functional, vocational).
- Computer proficiency.
- Valid Saskatchewan Class 5 Drivers Licence.

Final Candidates are required to provide satisfactory Criminal Record Check, including a Vulnerable Sector Search.
