The Legislative Assembly Service is evolving its IT structure to support long-term organizational needs. We are hiring one position either a Security Analyst or an IT/Server Analyst based on the strengths of the candidate pool.
Reporting to the Manager, Information Technology Services (ITS), the position is part of the team responsible for the planning, deployment, operation, and support of networks, servers, security infrastructure, endpoints, and applications that support the operation of the Saskatchewan Legislative Assembly.
The successful candidate requires strong research, analytical and trouble shooting skills to solve problems ranging from simple to complex. Duties include research, planning, configuration, testing, monitoring, and administrating the security network infrastructure. The team also supports specialized applications including websites, SharePoint sites, oracle financials (MIDAS), digital audio transaction systems and video streaming, security camera monitoring, library systems, broadcast infrastructure and various off the shelf software applications.
Knowledge and experience in Tier 1, 2 and 3 services are required. Bachelors degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, or a related field, combined with three or more years experience in cybersecurity rolespreferably in a public sector or enterprise-level IT environment. Also required is In-depth knowledge of Security principles and technologies (IAM, IDS/IPS), Risk assessment methodologies, Security information and event management (SIEM) systems, malware detection and remediation tools as well as Working knowledge of IT network infrastructure components.
