Description

As part of the Maintenance Department, the Casual Maintenance Technician works as part of the team to assist in maintaining the mechanical equipment in the mill.

Responsibilities:
Follows all safe work practices and procedures
Performs hands-on routine planned, predictive and corrective mechanical
maintenance
Reviews and interprets mechanical drawings
Troubleshoots with other mill personnel, operational problems with equipment
Develops and implements reliability integrity strategies for mechanical equipment
Cleans, lubricates and performs other maintenance work
Maintains a high level of housekeeping standards

Qualifications:
Completion of Grade 12 education or equivalent
Previous mechanical experience &/or indentured in the apprenticeship program is an asset
Highly motivated and able to work independently
Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces
Ability to work in extreme weather conditions and temperatures
Manual dexterity and ability to remain standing, crouching or bending for long periods of time
