The City of Melfort is a vibrant community in Saskatchewan, known for offering residents and visitors a high quality of life. We are currently seeking a Community Development Coordinator for a one-year term to cover a temporary vacancy.
In this role, you will report to the Director of Community Services and be responsible for the administration, planning, implementation, and promotion of the Citys Economic Development and Tourism programs, as well as Special Community Events. The position takes a collaborative approach, working closely with residents, stakeholders, and local and regional organizations to support and enhance community initiatives.
The ideal candidate to qualify for the position will have:
Minimum 3 years of related experience (1 year in a municipal setting)
Education of a degree, diploma or certificate in public administration, recreation administration, economic development, or related field
Valid Class 5 drivers license and clear criminal record check
Strong administrative, budgeting, marketing, and management principles specific to business marketing, tourism and economic development
Strong computer skills and proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and related computer applications
