The City of Regina is seeking a detail-oriented Front-End Developer and Web Strategist to manage and optimize City websites, including Regina.ca and internal platforms, while consulting on Tourism Reginas web presence. This role blends technical expertise with digital strategy, focusing on accessibility, SEO, SEM, analytics, and user experience. You'll work closely with Communications, IT, and Marketing teams to ensure websites are functional, user-friendly, and aligned with corporate standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and update internal and external websites (e.g., Regina.ca, City intranet)
Implement and optimize SEO/SEM strategies and Google Ads
Analyze web traffic using Google Analytics and make data-driven recommendations
Ensure compliance with accessibility standards (WCAG AA)
Approve and manage web content with attention to style, branding, and metadata
Conduct regular site audits and address technical issues (e.g., broken links, performance)
Collaborate across departments to enhance the digital user experience
What You Bring:
Degree in Computer Science, Marketing, Communications, or related field
24 years experience in web development and digital communications
Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Python
Strong knowledge of WordPress, Google Analytics, Tag Manager, Ads, and SEO/SEM best practices
Exceptional attention to detail, communication skills, and a team-first mindset
Assets:
Experience with municipal government, Open CMS, Site Improve, or Meta Business Suite is an asset.
