Grade One Teacher - MOSQUITO

MGBHLMFN is currently seeking passionate and dedicated Grade 1 Teacher to join Mosquito School in full-time positions for the 20252026 school year. This position will be under the supervision of the Director of Education and Principal and will receive ongoing support and guidance as required.
All applicants must hold a valid Saskatchewan Teaching Certificate.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that align with the Saskatchewan curriculum.
Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students varying needs and interests.
Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment.
Incorporate First Nations culture and values, with a willingness to learn and include Cree and Nakota language and teachings.
Collaborate with staff and families to support student learning and school community goals.
Use assessment data to inform instruction and communicate progress to families.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor of Education degree is required.
Must hold or be eligible for a Saskatchewan Teacher Professional A Certificate.
Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening is required.
Experience working in or with First Nations communities is considered a strong asset.
Understanding of First Nations perspectives in education and community involvement.
Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
Reliable, compassionate, and committed to student success.
