Responsibilities
Lead preventative maintenance for all equipment/systems across Western Canada
Supervise, mentor maintenance technicians; assign tasks efficiently
Oversee maintenance operations across sites
Troubleshoot mechanical failures; ensure grain equipment (cleaners, splitters, de-stoners, dryers, conveyors, etc.) runs optimally
Conduct routine/emergency maintenance to reduce downtime, boost efficiency
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and internal policies
Maintain accurate records: repairs, inspections, inventory, activities
Collaborate with production, cross-functional teams to minimize disruptions
Participate in internal/external audits to meet regulatory standards
Follow safety protocols; de-energize equipment before maintenance
Job Specific Skills
10+ years in industrial maintenance, ideally in ag or food manufacturing
Proven leadership across multiple sites
Skilled in diagnosing, repairing mechanical systems
Red Seal Millwright/Mechanic or equivalent certification
Strong mechanical aptitude; can interpret technical drawings, schematics
Knowledge of OH&S, WHMIS, other safety standards
Effective communicator with technicians, production, leadership
Organized, able to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments
