- Estimating 16 hours of work per tournament, for 13 tournaments
- Saturday work required
Job Summary:
Are you passionate about empowering young people? Do you have a passion for the speech arts? Do you enjoy reasoned discussions and debates? SEDA is looking for an energetic and organized person to help coordinate our speech and debate tournaments will take place both online and in-person
Responsibilities and Duties:
-Coordinate and manage volunteers and staff
-Update and edit tournament resource packages/materials
- Coordinate and manage tournament logistics
- Lead information sessions during events
- Travel may be required
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum grade 12 education
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Leadership experience, and team oriented
- Problem solving sills
- Reliable and organized
- Speech and or debate experience preferred
- Digital skills - comfortable with technology
- Access to vehicle
- As you will be in a position of authority and supervision over children, a successful criminal record and vulnerable sector check will be required
