CANADIAN ORGANIC Spice & Herb Co. Inc. is looking to hire a full time Quality Control Personnel / Certification Co-ordinator. This person would work with management to oversee company certifications, maintaining safety and quality standards, along with other daily tasks. CANADIAN ORGANIC is looking for someone with previous experience who has excellent communication and people skills. Someone who is reliable, self-motivated and hard-working.
The right candidate may also be trained for the position.
Wage based on previous experience.
Job Duties:
- Implementing new/changed policies and procedures
- Providing support to customers requiring QA/QC/Food Safety information
- Approving and Maintaining Product Specifications, New Products and New Suppliers.
- Provide Risk Assessments on suppliers/products
- Conduct internal audits and inspections
- Auditing and/or Verifying procedures and policies
- Identify any possible non-conformances and determine Corrective and Preventative Actions
- Implementing HACCP and GMP practices and providing applicable training to staff
- Auditing and/or Verifying HACCP and GMP practices
- Working with the SQF committee to develop and/or modify procedures and record keeping for SQF
- Conduct Mock Recalls, Recalls and Withdrawals
- Verify record keeping
- Stay up to date with any regulatory agency changes that may affect our workflows, packaging/labels, certifications, etc.
- providing input and relaying concerns regarding current Food Safety processes and procedures
