Description

Optometrist Receptionist performing patient pre-testing.
Part-Time position (Up to 15 Hours per Week), including one or two Saturdays per month.

Tunnel Vision Optical is a full-service Optical store, open 6 days a week, with Optometry and a full dispensary. We are focused on serving our customers very well. We are looking for someone whose goals align in terms of excellence in delivering the best in eye care and customer care.

You will need to be confident, outgoing and have clear communication skills. You will be working with the public therefore you will need to be adaptable and patient. You must be detail oriented, efficient and great at multi-tasking. You must be a team player, as you will be a part of a strong, experienced team who truly enjoy working together.

Your typical day would include the following:

Greeting patients and checking them in for their eye exams.
Entering insurance information and collecting payments.
Pre-testing before the patient sees the Optometrist.
Performing light cleaning and maintenance.
Maintaining timely patient flow by adhering to the appointment schedule.
Booking appointments, answering phones, checking and responding to emails.

Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma.
Previous experience in a customer-facing environment.
Experience with technology and computers, as you will be operating and using medical equipment.

Experience working in an Optometric clinic or Retail Optical store is an asset but not required.
