The Ministry is seeking a dynamic, high performing, values driven and strategic leader to join our senior leadership team as Executive Director, Communications. The Executive Director, Communications, will report to the Deputy Minister and will oversee the development and implementation of communication strategies that create awareness of the ministrys mission. This position will also develop communication activities targeted to the public, clients, employees, the media, and other key stakeholders to ensure that the ministrys strategic direction, programs, and services are understood and supported. The successful candidate will also lead the ministrys efforts to build public trust in the agriculture sector.

Typically, the knowledge and competencies required for this position are acquired through:

-The completion of a degree in journalism, communications or marketing or related field along with;
-Several years of management and leadership experience in progressively more responsible positions related to communications or marketing, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
