Description

The Public Works Employee will be part of a team that delivers all public works services, including the operation and maintenance of: water and wastewater systems, streets, equipment, buildings and green spaces, landfill, cemetery, etc.

This position requires a Grade 12/GED, class 5 drivers license, and a willingness to pursue necessary training and certification as required.  Water and wastewater experience, municipal public works experience, strong communication skills and a positive attitude will be considered an asset.  This position is typically Monday  Friday, 7 a.m.  noon, 1  4 p.m. with weekend rotation expected for facility checks (monitoring of equipment/water testing).

Class 1 water treatment, water distribution, wastewater treatment and wastewater collection certifications would be considered an asset.

This position is in-scope with United Steelworkers, Local 5917.
