Description

The Information Technology Division (ITD) of the Ministry of SaskBuilds and Procurement, the Digital Platform and Services branch, is seeking an individual who is an effective communicator, a cross-team collaborator with strong interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills for the position of Manager, Application Management Services (AMS). Reporting to the director, you will be responsible for leading, supporting, developing and mobilizing a dynamic group of individuals to work toward a shared purpose in the best interests of the branch, the Government of Saskatchewan and service delivery to citizens. In this position, you will have the opportunity to work with and advise senior executives in government on all aspects of application support and lead teams involving multiple ministries and external resources.

As our successful candidate, you will be a results-oriented individual with strong verbal and written communication skills and will bring:

- 3+ years of experience in a management role managing all aspects (technical and HR) of an IT team delivering diverse services.
- Knowledge of business applications and supporting infrastructure, support processes and lifecycle management; and more!

IT experience and background with concept knowledge in areas such as:

- Web technologies, C#, .NET
- Database concepts (e.g./Oracle, MS SQL).
- Microsoft technologies: 0365 tools, DevOps, D365, Power Platform and SharePoint.

Typically, the knowledge and skills required for this position would be attained through the completion of a degree in computer science or a related discipline, supplemented by related technical and management experience in a large, fast-paced IT environment. The successful candidate will be committed to professional development and staying current in a changing IT landscape.
