We are building our team for our new store, and are looking for:
Title  Assistant Store Manager
Location  Saskatoon, SK  51st Street
Scope  Full-Time

Store Info
Zaks Building Group is opening their 4th Home Hardware Building Centre Store on 51st Street in Saskatoon.  This retail footprint of the store is 24,700 sf.  The building materials yard will consist of a warehouse and outside yard space.   Store renovations are in the works, and we hope to open to the public in Fall 2025.

Key Responsibilities
Assist in overseeing daily store operations and support the Store Manager.
Supervise and support staff in both the retail store and building materials yard.
Take the lead on Home Dcor and Home Expressions products to carry.
Help implement sales, merchandising, and customer service strategies.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering and stock management.
Support adherence to store policies and safety procedures.
Provide training and guidance to team members.
Reporting to Store Manager, and lead in time of Store Manager absence.

Qualifications
Experience in retail or leadership roles preferred (hardware/building supply knowledge a plus).
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Strong problem-solving abilities and a customer-focused attitude.
Knowledge of building materials, home improvement, or construction trades is an asset.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
Flexibility to work weekends and varying shifts as required.
