Job Description: As a valued employee of SHA, the social worker, BSW, has responsibility for professional psychosocial assessment and counselling with clients and families who are managing complex social and emotional impacts associated with physical illness. The registered social worker is a competent clinical practitioner assisting individuals, families and groups. The social worker BSW offers a professional working relationship, including an understanding of the social work role, of a conceptual model of practice, and of the SHA philosophy, objectives and policies. Reports directly to the Senior Social Worker. Receives clinical supervision and administrative direction from the Manager and/or designate(Senior). "Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement"
