Location: Millie's Early Learning Centre

Millie's Early Learning Centre is seeking a caring and detail-oriented Cook to join our dedicated team. This position plays a vital role in supporting the health and well-being of the infants and toddlers in our care by preparing and serving nutritious meals in a clean, safe, and nurturing environment.

About Millie's:
Millie's Early Learning Centre provides a holistic and loving environment for infants and toddlers (birth to 30 months) of student parents attending Nutana Collegiate. Our mission is to support young families by allowing student parents to complete their high school education while their children are cared for. Millie's operates on the school calendar year and is closed during July and August.
Position hours are 8:30 am to 3:00 pm.
Start date: August 28, 2025

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve daily meals/snacks for infants and toddlers.
- Plan menus that follow the Canada Food Guide and Ministry of Education and Early Years requirements.
- Adapt meals for children with food allergies or dietary restrictions.
-Create grocery lists and ensure a variety of healthy food options are on hand.
-Collaborate with classroom educators to meet child-specific needs.
-Maintain a clean and organized kitchen; follow all food safety and sanitation protocols.
-Ensure kitchen equipment is cleaned regularly and in good working condition.

Qualifications:
-Valid Food Handler Certification (required).
-ECE Level Certification is an asset to help cover staff breaks.
-Clear Vulnerable Sector Background Check (required).
-Valid First Aid and CPR Certification (required).
