Description

The Northeast Regional Housing Authority is located in the community of Creighton, and also serves the surrounding communities of Denare Beach, Pelican Narrows, and Sandy Bay.  We are currently recruiting a full-time permanent Maintenance Worker to join our team in Creighton!
  
The Position:
-Ensure housing units are rent ready by undertaking minor repairs, prep work, painting, etc.
-Garbage removal and janitorial duties
-Groundskeeping, including grass cutting and snow removal
-Assist with routine and preventative maintenance tasks

Responsibilities and Requirements:
-Basic knowledge in a variety of trades such as carpentry, plumbing, painting, flooring, and electrical
-Ensure day to day operations are handling promptly and effectively

Qualifications:
-Grade 12 education or equivalent, basic computer skills, and some experience in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, etc.
-Ability to organize and participate in an on call program for emergencies for evening, weekend, and holiday coverage
-A valid drivers license, reliable, roadworthy vehicle, and an approved Enhanced (Vulnerable Sector) criminal record check are conditions of employment
