Description

This is a part-time position that requires 30 hours a week in the office, Monday to Friday. The report time would start at 8:30am and ends at 3:00 pm (with 30 min unpaid break in between). The admin assistant is expected to help the Office Administrator in basic accounting/bookkeeping duties and office activities of the Canadian Bison Association (CBA) which is a not-for-profit organization that provides services to approximately 550 members across Canada and one of its affiliates, Saskatchewan Bison Association.
The position is in Regina, Saskatchewan.

Duties & Responsibilities:

- General reception and administrative tasks such as ordering supplies, receiving mails and communicating with suppliers and customers
- Filing and archiving files, ensuring reception area is clean and organized
- Taking and processing orders from customers (tags, memberships and genomics)
- Data entries by recording all financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Do daily reconciliation and prepare bank deposits
- Handles account receivables and payables
- Maintain mailing list to distribute Smoke Signals three times per year
- Assisting the CBA team as required including involvement in event planning and execution Annual National Convention and Show and Sale
- Perform other tasks as required

Qualifications:

-Understanding of financial concepts and financial reporting (Accounting Diploma or Certificate is an asset)
Meticulous and detail oriented
Strong communication skills (both oral and written)
1 year experience in customer service or in office setting
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Dependable and can work with minimal supervision
Time Management and teamwork
* Ability to prepare minutes is a bonus
