Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week some evenings and weekends as required
Under the direct supervision of the Cafe Manager, the Caf Food Coordinator will be responsible for food service at the Encore Caf in YWCA Reginas Kikaskihtanaw Centre for Women and Families. This position will be responsible for menu development, preparation, and service, baking for cafe, ensuring that the cleaning and maintenance of the kitchen and equipment are complete, and working with the Cafe Manager to support catering and efficient food service.
Responsibilities:
Menu creation, prep, and service of food
Keeping a clean and well-organized kitchen
Preparing items for take and go
Maintain a high quality of food and customer service
Maintain highest standards of SHA Food Safe regulations
Qualifications:
Experience working in a commercial kitchen
Food service and safe food handling experience
Self-directed, demonstrated ability to work effectively without direct supervision or guidance
Must be able to provide a criminal record check with a vulnerable sector check
Current Food Safe Certificate
Experience with food orders and leading a team
Experience with food cost analysis and budgeting
