The Valley/South On-going Supervisor is responsible to oversee and manage On Going Programs and Services; to promote and maintain best practices, case management standards in family/child centered practice with time and fiscal management constraints. The Valley/South On-Going Supervisor duties include and may not be limited to the oversight of Child Protection Services, informed by: Children in Care Services; Family Support Services, as it relates to the YTL-YTCCFS Inc Service Delivery Model as outlined in the YTL-YTCCFS Inc. Strategic Plan, Vision and Goals.
Knowledge of the FSIN Child Welfare and Family Support Act and the Provincial Child and Family Services Act. The ISC Child in Care Policy Saskatchewan Region Manual, the Structured Decision-Making System (SDM) and the Provincial Child Abuse Protocol.
-Ability to apply and interpret provincial/federal legislation and funding agreements for children in care.
-Ability to provide leadership through encouragement, collaborations and the promotion of healthy, positive working relationships with the objective of achieving client, team and organizational goals.
-Good interpersonal skills as well as effective oral, written communication skills.
-Demonstrated ability to monitor, evaluate and facilitate quality assurance measures for case management, case planning and file documentation of subordinates.
-Ability to handle stress, ambiguity, and conflict situations.
General knowledge of the Cree, Nakota and Saulteaux cultures General knowledge of the political and social development systems of the YTL-YTCCFS Inc.
