Description

As a member of the management team, the Manager of Communications understands internal and external communication needs of APEGS and is responsible for creating effective and meaningful dialogue, information, and transparent communication results.Reporting to the Director, the position works with the team to develop, implement, and enhance communication programs focused on employee and public audiences. The position works with departments of APEGS, promoting the adoption and effective application of communication strategies. Through leadership in key message development, social media strategies, face to face engagement strategies, and other relevant communication channels, the position aims to achieve stakeholder education, awareness, and understanding.

This position is an excellent opportunity to fully utilize your management expertise and apply leadership, focus and a solid planning framework to the communications function of APEGS.  You will be interested in this role if:

You possess an undergrad degree in business administration, journalism, or a related discipline

Your experience includes a minimum of 5 years managing people, programs, and processes in areas such as communications or public relations, stakeholder engagement, functional and cross-functional team management and/or project and change management

Your track record demonstrates that successful business outcomes are achieved through effective internal communication and effective communication with those who are affected by business decisions

You are an experienced delegator and thrive on building your teams collective strengths through delegation, coaching, clear accountability, and support

You are looking for a role that focuses on communication programs and processes, while leaning heavily on your proven change management, project management, and team management skills and abilities.
