Provide Support and Outreach for those experiencing Trauma Of Residential Schools, Intergenerational Impacts, Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Indian Day Schools and Jordan's Principle/Child Welfare Claims Must be able to provide CIPC, have valid license and own vehicle. Must have knowledge of Indigenous Culture and be able to work in a culturally diverse setting. Knowledge of Mental Health, Addictions, and the effects of trauma on individuals and families. Ability to work with all age groups.
Job duties include but not limited too:
Provide emotional and cultural support
trauma support
Facilitate groups such as Anger management, addictions, healing circles and others as needed
ability to fill in forms
data collection
written reports
work as part of a team
provide cultural programs
provide youth and Elder programs
land based learning
Be willing to travel often on short notice
Be willing to take training
Preference may be given to those of Indigenous Ancestry.
