About Us:
Chief Paskwa Education Centre is a vibrant and inclusive learning environment committed to providing quality education rooted in First Nations culture, language, and traditions. We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Educational Assistant to join our team and support the academic and personal growth of our students.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide academic, behavioral, and emotional support to students under the direction of the classroom teacher and/or resource staff.
Assist students with classroom tasks, individualized education plans (IEPs), and accommodations as required.
Promote and support the cultural values and traditions of the First Nation community within the learning environment.
Supervise students in various settings, including classrooms, hallways, and playgrounds.
Support teachers in preparing learning materials and classroom activities.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development as required.

Qualifications:
Certificate or diploma in Educational Assistant, Early Childhood Education, or related field (or a willingness to obtain one).
Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred.
Knowledge of First Nations culture, language, and community values is a strong asset.
Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and administration.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Ability to always maintain confidentiality and professionalism.

Assets:
First Aid/CPR Certification.
Valid Class 5 Drivers License and reliable transportation.
Fluency or familiarity with a First Nations language.
