Description

Pasqua First Nation is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and dedicated individual(s) to join our school team as Custodial Staff. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, safety, and hygiene of the school facilities to support a positive and healthy learning environment for students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
Clean and sanitize classrooms, hallways, washrooms, and common areas daily
Ensure all garbage and recycling is collected and properly disposed of
Monitor and restock cleaning supplies and toiletries
Follow cleaning schedules and respond to any urgent sanitation needs
Ensure school entrances and walkways are clear of snow, ice, and debris (seasonal)
Report any maintenance or safety concerns to the school administration
Secure the building at the end of each shift as required

Qualifications:
Previous custodial or janitorial experience preferred
Ability to work independently and follow a set routine
Physically able to perform duties, including lifting, bending, and extended periods of standing
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Knowledge of safe handling and storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment
A satisfactory criminal record check and vulnerable sector check are required

Assets:
WHMIS certification (or willingness to obtain)
Experience working in a school or community setting
Understanding and respect for First Nations culture, language, and values
