Description

Mihkoskiwakk Nhiyawak Education Authority (MNEA) is seeking a half-time Superintendent of Instruction to lead curriculum, instruction, and educator growth across our schools. This position reports directly to the Director of Education.
Role Summary
The Superintendent of Instruction provides system-level leadership for curriculum implementation, instructional improvement, teacher supervision and evaluation, and oversight of special education and student services. The role includes budget oversight and reporting, and close collaboration with school administration to improve outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Lead implementation of Saskatchewan curricula and Cree language programming.
Establish instructional priorities, assessment practices, and intervention cycles.
Coordinate professional learning, coaching, and PLC development for educators.
Conduct teacher supervision, classroom observations, and support growth plans.
Mentor principals and vice-principals in instructional leadership.
Oversee inclusive education services, IIPs, and specialized supports.
Coordinate allied health and mental health services as needed.
Develop and manage budgets for student services and related programs.
Lead required reporting for ISC and other funders.
Engage Elders, Knowledge Keepers, families, and community partners.
