Description

North Sask Victim Services Inc. is a non-profit organization that works with the RCMP to provide assistance to victims of crime and traumatic events in the Northern Saskatchewan Administrative District (NSAD). The Executive Director (ED) will be responsible for overseeing and managing the delivery of NSVS' mandate in accordance with the vision, mission and strategic plan of the NSVS Board. The ED will also be responsible for the supervision of 20 staff. This is a full-time position working out of La Ronge and requires extensive travel to all northern communities NSVS provides services to. The ED reports directly to the NSVS Board.

Duties:
Develop and maintain healthy relationships with media, public and key stakeholders, particularly the Ministry of Justice and RCMP.
Maintain healthy staff relationships that emphasize wellness.
Support the NSVS Board to carry out its governance functions.
Develop and maintain operational plans and budgets.
Provide day to day administration such as maintaining operational policy, program evaluation, record keeping and information management systems.
Ensure accountability throughout NSVS, including preparing required reports.
Assess community needs and implement best practices.

Requirements:
Must be able to obtain and maintain an RCMP Enhanced Reliability Security Clearance
Valid Class 5 Drivers License.
Degree in the human service field.
3-5 years of senior management experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
Experience with not-for-profit agencies and the policy governance model.
Familiarity with counselling theories, grant writing, budgeting, accounting and human resource management.
Knowledge of northern and Indigenous culture, identities and languages.
Knowledge and application of the TRC Calls to Action and the MMIWG Final Report
