Description

Reporting directly to the Director of 4 Directions, The Maintenance Worker is responsible for the general maintenance and upkeep of the YTL/4 Directions Group Homes & Office building. This includes performing basic repairs, preventative maintenance, and ensuring that facilities and equipment are in safe, functional condition.

Roles & Responsibilities:
Must have knowledge and experience in minor repairs including drywall, electrical, plumbing, other building/equipment issues.
Install/maintain appliances and equipment.
Maintain the Yellow Thunderbird Lodge & 4 Directions office building and parking lot.
Maintain landscape duties (snow removal, yard work/upkeep, heavy traffic areas).
Conduct routine inspections of premises/buildings/equipment
Consult with the Director of 4 Directions regarding all major repairs requiring contracted services.
Perform maintenance tasks provided through the proper communication procedures
Focus on environmental issues in keeping with a safe work environment
Provide the means to improve the operating efficiency of all Yellow Thunderbird Lodge facilities.

Skills & Abilities:
Must be dependable and reliable.
Must be prompt and efficient in completing tasks.
Valid Drivers License and possess a reliable vehicle.
Good communication skills and interpersonal skills.
Must be willing to upgrade skills when time and funding permits.
Must adhere to and maintain company policies, safety regulations and OHS requirements
Must be able to sign an Oath of Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreement.
Must have a Valid Saskatchewan Driver's License
Must be able to Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Check and Drivers Abstract.
Willingness to travel when required
Flexible work week based on organizational need
Must be willing to work evenings and weekends, if necessary
Lifting, standing, bending, reaching, climbing and crouching may be required
Lifting as necessary up to 45 kilograms
