Description

Are you motivated by doing meaningful work and being part of an organization committed to learning and growth? Come join our team of professionals as a Lands Administration Specialist!

In this role, you will lead, support, and provide expertise regarding the management of Water Security Agency (WSA) owned lands, and will also provide support to WSA staff on land control files for lands not owned by WSA.  

You will provide input into establishing applicable lands management standards and policies. Responsibilities include collaborating with stakeholders, federal government, and other provincial government entities; overseeing land sales, acquisitions and transfers, issuing land use agreements such as permits, leases, easements, etc., and ensuring proper land control.

You will also act as a liaison, coordinate communication, and resolve complex land interest issuesincluding federal/provincial jurisdictional mattersand support the identification and resolution of WSAs interests in the reserve creation process.

The successful candidate will have a diploma in environmental or natural sciences, integrated resource management, or a related discipline. This position requires four years of relevant experience; however, an equivalent combination of training and experience related to land management will also be considered.

A degree in natural sciences and eligibility for appointment as a Commissioner of Oaths would be considered assets.

This role is subject to a satisfactory criminal record check.
