Position Overview
The Grant Writer will play a key role in supporting our customersschools, municipalities, nonprofits, and community organizationsin identifying and applying for funding opportunities to support playground projects. This position combines writing expertise with customer service, research, and strategic thinking.
Key Responsibilities
Research and identify relevant grant opportunities from local, provincial, federal and private sources.
Collaborate with customers to understand their project goals, community impact, and funding needs.
Write compelling, customized grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and supporting documentation.
Assist customers in preparing budgets, timelines, and project narratives for grant applications.
Maintain a database of grant opportunities and track application deadlines and outcomes.
Provide guidance on grant compliance and reporting requirements.
Work closely with the sales and project teams to align grant writing with project planning and execution.
Qualifications
Proven experience in grant writing, preferably in nonprofit, education, or community development sectors.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Strong research and analytical abilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Familiarity with playground design, community development, or child-focused initiatives is a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and grant management tools.
