Description

We are seeking two dedicated and passionate instructors to join our team in Estevan for the Mental Health and Addictions Counselling program.

The ideal candidate will:
1. Provide instruction and facilitate interactive practical experiences for students in the MHAC Diploma program including English, Psychology and sociology.
2. Prepare and deliver lessons, assignments, and lectures for educational purposes.
3. Provide appropriate evaluation, assessment, and feedback to students on the required learning platform.
4. Engage in professional development opportunities to keep employers, CACCF and educational requirements.
5. Supervise students in classroom (virtual), residencies/labs, preceptor applied learning in workplaces/clinical settings.
6. Prioritize a psychologically safe educational setting for all learners.

Required Qualifications:
1. Undergraduate degree in Addictions or in a related field with an emphasis on mental health and addictions.
2. Eligible for certification with the CACCF or other mental health and addictions professional association.
3. Minimum of two years recent and relevant counselling/teaching experience (i.e., addictions counselling and mental health).
4. Excellent communication skills.
5. Ability to apply the current theories and models of care.
6. Small group facilitation skills and leading, modeling and teaching interaction skills.
7. Proficiency in computer software.
