Description

The Town of Turtleford is inviting applications for the full-time position of Maintenance Person and WTP Operator.
Duties include:
*provide maintenance on all equipment;
*operate a grader, skid steer, and other heavy-duty equipment;
*maintain and operate water treatment plant, lift station and lagoon;
*snow removal and green space maintenance;
*participate in a rotating schedule or after hours standby and callout duties.
*practice safe work habits and adhere to OHS regulations.
*assist the foreman when needed with other duties that have been delegated;

The Town seeks an energetic, ambitious person. The successful applicant will have a great work ethic, ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good public relations are essential. Certification in Water and Wastewater Level 1 would be an asset OR must be willing to work towards the applicable certification requirements. Applicant must have Grade 12 or equivalent. Applicants will be required to provide a clear Criminal Record check. Benefit package and a salary which is negotiable, depending on experience and qualifications. There is opportunity to advance for the right candidate with experience and education.
