Description

The Saskatchewan Apprenticeship and Trade Certification Commission (SATCC) is hiring an Apprenticeship Training Consultant for Moose Jaw and area. This role supports apprenticeship training, trade certification, and promotes the Saskatchewan Youth Apprenticeship (SYA) Program.

We are seeking a candidate with a Journeyperson Certificate and Completion of Apprenticeship Certificate, who understands work-based training and the apprenticeship system. You will be a strong communicator, able to convey information clearly to diverse audiences and promote understanding and engagement.

The successful candidate will evaluate trade experience, monitor in-school training, provide guidance by phone and in person, administer exams, promote trades careers, and manage assigned areas. You will also support workforce initiatives and SYA program delivery.

This term position is based in Moose Jaw and requires travel in rural or remote areas, sometimes in adverse weather. A valid Class 5 drivers license and reliable vehicle are required.

To qualify, you must hold a Journeyperson Certificate, Completion of Apprenticeship Certificate, and Grade 12 or equivalent. Strong time management and writing skills are essential.

SATCC trains and certifies apprentices and tradespeople, regulates the apprenticeship system, and promotes trades careers. Our vision is a skilled, representative workforce trained and certified by industry.
