The Ministry of Energy and Resources is hiring a Senior Policy Analyst, Industrial Minerals in the Mineral Policy Branch. This role supports strategic planning and policy development related to potash and other industrial minerals, contributing to Saskatchewans resource sector.
We are seeking an innovative, motivated, and experienced professional to provide advice to senior management, develop royalty and taxation regulations, monitor sector trends, and maintain relationships with stakeholders. You will support decision-making through policy analysis, strategic recommendations, and performance evaluation.
Ideal candidates will work independently or in teams, apply economic and financial modeling, and use analytical tools to develop clear, actionable options. You must have strong strategic thinking, communication, time management, and organizational skills. Extensive knowledge of Saskatchewans potash industry and global markets is essential. Related knowledge of other mining sectors or engineering is an asset.
Qualifications typically include a Masters degree in public or business administration, economics, agricultural economics, or engineering, along with significant experience in public policy development and forecasting in the resource sector. Equivalent education and experience may be considered.
