MICC is looking to hire a new team member. Mackenzie Infant Care Centres has high standards providing quality care to infants and toddlers while their parents attend school. We are looking for a fun, creative, caring and passionate individual who will fit well into our team.
The successful candidates role will entail:
Caring for and programming for children either infants or toddlers.
Communicating with parents,families and team members.
Ensure that Child Care Regulations and Mackenzie Infant Care Centre policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.
Develops and provides creative and age appropriate experiences in all areas of child growth and development.
Creates and maintains the physical environment to ensure optimal health and safety of the children.
Assists in supervising programming activities to ensure the safety of all children at all times.
Performs basic skills of child care as outlined by Mackenzie Infant Care Centres Parent Handbook i.e. feeding, diapering, sleeping.
Responds with good judgement and acts quickly in the case of a medical emergency or crisis situation.
Attends staff meetings and training sessions as required.
Interacts with the teen parent in a way that encourages and supports the care of the child(ren).
Acts as a role model and mentor to young teen parents.
Understands and identifies the unique need of a teen parent.
Works as a part of a large cohesive team.
Communication Skills.
Willing to learn and develop new skills.
General cleaning duties to maintain centres spaces and properties.
Candidate will require:
Early Childhood Education (Certificate or Diploma) with Certification of Level
Criminal Record Check (within 6 months)
First aid Training
