The Role
This role is located at our McArthur River operations and will report to the Supervisor, Mine Training.
This is a six to eight-month temporary staff position.
In this role, you will:
-be responsible for developing new and updating existing training programs by utilizing Camecos Systematic Approach to Training (SAT).
-Consult with key stakeholders to develop this training curriculum and deliver plans to meet the operations needs.
-Use adult learning principles to deliver training programs to site employees and contractors.
-Communicate and collaborate effectively with all departments and contractors.
-Determine training requirements and develop and deliver classroom and practical training.
-Deliver training and conduct evaluations of employee performance.
-Maintain attendance/enrollment and training records in computer database.
Required:
-Certificate in Adult Education and/or Train the Trainer certification along with a background in training and development in a mining environment. A combination of relevant training experience, on the job or formal education would be considered.
-Understanding of Systematic Approach to Training
-Experience in an industrial mine setting
-Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively (visual, oral & written)
-Contribute to the development of instructional materials
-Strong computer, presentation and communication skills are essential
-Experience in SAP and Microsoft office applications
Recommended:
-Previous training and/or peer training/mentoring experience (5-8 years) in Underground Hard Rock Development mining environment
-Knowledge of mine construction
