We are seeking a Heart and Fire Mentor (Outreach Worker I) to join our Specialized Support Classroom team at Central Park Elementary. This unique role is designed to support at-risk students by fostering a culturally affirming, trauma-informed environment that prioritizes belonging, connection, and regulation. The successful candidate will work closely with students, families, and staff to integrate land-based learning, Indigenous cultural teachings, and wraparound supports into daily school life.

Duties will commence September 15, 2025 (or a mutually agreed upon time) and conclude June 30, 2026.

Central Park Elementary School is a Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 3 elementary school located in Nipawin, Saskatchewan.  For more information about the school go to Central Park Elementary School (nesd.ca).

Position Summary
The Heart and Fire Mentor (Indigenous Community Worker - Outreach Woker I) is a culturally responsive outreach worker who builds bridges between home, school, and community. This position supports the Specialized Support Classroom model by fostering safe, inclusive, and culturally affirming environments, and by providing trauma-informed, land-based, and relationship-centered programming to students at risk.
