Job Description:

Smittys is currently seeking an experienced and motivated Food Service Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining smooth daily operations, ensuring excellent customer service, and supporting the kitchen and front-of-house staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the activities of staff who prepare and serve food and beverages.

Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.

Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.

Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.

Estimate and order ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation.

Address customer concerns or complaints in a professional manner.

Participate in the hiring process and assist with staff evaluations.

Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.

Open and/or close the restaurant as needed.

Assist with food preparation or service as needed during busy times.

Requirements:

Completion of high school (secondary school) is required.

Minimum 1 year of experience in the food service industry, including supervisory responsibilities.

Strong communication and leadership skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.

Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.

Able to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
