Description

Programs Branch of the Ministry of Agriculture is seeking a Senior Program Analyst to provide policy leadership and analytical expertise and develop innovative approaches to identify and resolve issues affecting strategic initiative agriculture programs in Saskatchewan.

You will have significant experience in research, data analysis, financial analysis and policy development to enhance the development and delivery of the Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership programs. You will apply your leadership skills to develop, implement and coordinate program and policy solutions that support the Ministrys strategic goals and objectives.

You will be primarily responsible for:
-providing strategic advice to executive management;
-providing leadership in research, development, implementation and coordination of policies, legislation and regulations to support effective program design and delivery; and
-building, strengthening and sustaining collaborative working relationships and partnerships.

You will be able to work independently and collaboratively to design agriculture programs that support the sector in Saskatchewan. You will lead efforts to develop internal program policies, procedures, and communication and training materials.

This position requires knowledge typically obtained through a Master's degree in agricultural economics, economics, public administration or related fields, and directly related policy experience or a combination of education and experience. Knowledge and experience of agriculture sector will be considered an asset.
