Southland Co-op is hiring an Agronomist at the Agro Centre in Assiniboia, SK.
What You'll Do:
- Plan the day to day execution of the Agronomy Dep;
- Provide leadership, direction and oversight to agronomy operations, programs and policies to prepare, administer & achieve budgeted goals & objectives.  Achieve & maintain sales, margins and inventory targets for existing customers & expand sales to new customers;
- Provide leadership to the team, including recruiting, goal setting, performance management, training & development of team members;
- Build strong customer relationships, providing agronomic support, service & knowledge;
- Perform farm customer responsibilities including field scouting, agronomic troubleshooting, crop planning, fertility & crop protection recommendations.
-Ensure safety & environmental policies & standards are achieved.
Who You Are:
- Degree in Agriculture
- P.Ag. Designation
- Valid Drivers license
- Prior experience and strong understanding of prairie cropping systems.
