Job Description: Reporting to the Director of Community Health Development, this position is responsible for delivery of services to children, youth, families and communities who have been exposed to violence. Services include individual/group counseling, community-based prevention education/counseling and case management/outreach services. The position establishes/maintains relationships with community partners, implements group programming, workshops and activities. A combination of individual counseling and case management in conjunction with offering group programming and community workshops is required. The Children Exposed to Violence (CEV) Program Coordinator ensures a balance of group programming, individual counseling, school-based programming, and community education events. The incumbent makes referrals to other programs/services as necessary, and works in partnership with other agencies/community based organizations. "Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement"
