Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide written report back to classroom teacher regarding the days activities and occurrences
General classroom duties
Must be able to travel to community
Nurture, support and guide young learners
Follow a teachers substitute guide
Use appropriate technology and media, as per the teachers instructions
Facilitate learning activities both within the classroom setting and outdoors
Participate in co-curricular school activities
Promote and maintain high standards of behaviour, respect and safety within the classroom
Support families with open, ongoing communication
Follow course timelines and materials such as syllabi, homework assignments and handouts
Position Qualifications:
Minimum Bachelor of Education from recognized post secondary institution
Saskatchewan Professional A Teaching Certificate
Understands and uses current classroom management strategies
Models a strong work ethic as well as high standards of commitment
Must have an awareness and appreciation of Native culture
Fosters school mission, values and sense of community through student-centered decisions
Effectively communicates with staff, parents and students
Maintains professionalism through all school interactions and activities
Values continual growth and development of school programs and curriculum
Chief Little Pine School is a Pre-K to Gr. 12 school located in Little Pine First Nation, approx. 79km west of North Battleford
