Ophabie Weyburn is a fried restaurant getting ready to open in Weyburn soon. We are looking for passionate and hard-working individuals to join our team! We are hiring for full time and part time team members for the position of Line Cook/Prep Cook. Prior experience in fast food is advantageous.


Job Description:

Prepare and cook menu items to standard
Ensure food safety, quality and customer satisfaction
Maintain cleanliness and follow food safety procedures
Clean kitchen tools, dishes and support store sanitation
Assist front counter attendant when necessary
Prepare ingredients, sauces and follow recipes
Handle and cook chicken following food safety protocols


Skills and Abilities:

Proven cooking skills, with the ability to prepare and cook fried chicken and other menu items to the highest standards
Knowledge of food safety protocols, including proper handling, cooking, and storage of food to ensure safety and quality
Strong attention to detail to follow recipes, ensure consistency, and maintain high standards of food quality
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment, managing multiple tasks while maintaining quality and speed
Teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with front counter staff, dishwashers, and other kitchen personnel
Ability to prepare ingredients and sauces, following recipes to ensure consistent flavor and presentation
Experience with kitchen equipment, such as fryers, grills, and food prep tools
Cleanliness and sanitation focus, including proper cleaning and sanitizing of kitchen tools, dishes, and work areas
Ability to maintain a clean and organized kitchen, ensuring that workspaces and equipment meet health and safety standards
Adaptability to assist in various roles, including helping the front counter staff when necessary
Ability to stay calm under pressure and manage high-volume cooking during peak hours
