Description

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintaining and repairing various types of heavy equipment, including industrial machinery and heavy trucks. This role requires hands-on experience with heavy equipment operation and the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed. The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and safely.
This position is a camp position operating on a 2 on 2 off rotation.
Responsibilities
  Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on heavy equipment.
  Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of machinery, including Caterpillar equipment.
  Operate heavy equipment to test functionality after repairs are completed.
  Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed.
  Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
  Ensure compliance with safety standards while working on-site.
  Assist in training junior mechanics as needed.
Experience
  Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic or similar role, preferably in a dealership or industrial equipment setting.
  Familiarity with automotive repair techniques and electrical systems related to heavy machinery.
  Experience operating heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, and loaders.
  Ability to perform heavy lifting and work in various environmental conditions.
  Knowledge of farm machinery maintenance is a plus.
  Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
