Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will need to have a strong background in maintaining and repairing various types of heavy machinery, including Semi Tractors, and trailers, and other various equipment. This role requires mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience with power tools, hand tools, and industrial equipment. The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities
    Diagnose mechanical issues in heavy equipment and machinery.
    Perform maintenance and repairs on Trucks, trailers, and other mechanical equipment
    Utilize schematics to troubleshoot electrical systems and components.
    Operate heavy equipment as required for testing after repairs.
    Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed, at time of repair.
    Ensure compliance with safety regulations while working on heavy machinery.
Requirements
    Proven mechanic experience with heavy equipment or similar machinery.
    Proficiency in working with Caterpillar machinery is a plus.
    Knowledge of HVAC systems is beneficial.
    Familiarity with industrial equipment maintenance practices.
    Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job duties.
    Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to use hand tools and power tools effectively.
    Basic electrical experience is advantageous for troubleshooting purposes.
    Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential.
