Community Engagement and Outreach Coordinator
Moose Jaw Support Services for Senior is a nonprofit organization based in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, dedicated to helping seniors remain independent, connected, and supported in their own homes. We provide outreach services, transportation, and practical supports for older adults in Moose Jaw area.
The Community Engagement and Outreach Coordinator will be responsible for organizing activities, promoting programs, and building relationships with seniors, volunteers, and community partners. This role combines program coordination, advertising, leading group presentations, community outreach, and communications
Plan, coordinate, and deliver community activities, workshops, and outreach events.
Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, service providers, and local businesses.
Promote programs through posters, newsletters, social media, and local media contacts.
Develop outreach materials (flyers, brochures, information packages) that clearly explain our services.
Support volunteer recruitment and recognition initiatives.
Gather feedback from seniors and community partners to improve programs.
Track participation and prepare simple reports on outreach and engagement activities.
Qualifications
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
5 years Experience with event or program coordination, community outreach, or communications.
Ability to work independently, manage time, and meet deadlines.
