Position Summary
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Payroll / Accounting Officer to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing payroll, accounting and administrative support to ensure effective, efficient, and accurate financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
Process and reconcile account receivable
Perform data entry and maintain accurate financial records
Prepare and process payroll and other accounting functions
Provide support during audits and month-end/year-end processes as needed
Maintain confidentiality of financial and employee information
Perform other administrative duties as required
Potential to advance and take on other financial responsibilities as they arise
Qualifications
2-year business Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field OR 3 or more years of equivalent experience in an accounting role with experience in oil industry considered an asset.
Advanced computer skills, with proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
